Broadway Shopping Centre raises vital funds for Bexley Foodbank

Our Trussell Partnership in Action

In February 2026, Rai Holdstock, Centre Manager at Broadway Shopping Centre, was delighted to present Bexley Foodbank with a cheque for £2,862 in support of the essential work they do in the local community. 

Funds were raised via the centre's Christmas Grotto and the card payment donations podium within the centre. 

Food bank reliance in the UK remains alarmingly high, with Trussell’s statistics revealing the deep scars left by the Covid-19 pandemic and cost of living crisis. In 2025, the Trussell network distributed 2.6 million emergency food parcels, with over 900,000 of these provided to children. These levels represent a 45% increase since our partnership with Trussell began in 2019.
