WELL Health-Safety Ratings

Exemplary Health & Safety and Wellbeing practices at our Centres

In June 2026, we successfully renewed our WELL Health-Safety Rating certifications at the following centres: 

• The Avenue, Newton Mearns
• Broadway Shopping Centre, Bexleyheath 
• The Hildreds Centre, Skegness
• The Hillstreet Centre, Middlesbrough 
• The Piazza, Paisley 
• Priory Meadow, Hastings
• The Promenades, Bridlington

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, we sought to certify our Core shopping centres to the WELL Health-Safety Rating standard to provide customers with piece of mind. Since then, the standard has evolved into a broader health & safety standard covering operational resilience and occupant wellbeing. 

The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an evidence-based, third-party verified certification developed by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) to demonstrate that a building or organisation has implemented robut health, safety and wellbeing practices. 

The rating focuses on six key themes: 

• cleaning and sanitisation procedures 
• emergency preparedness programmes 
• health service resources 
• air and water quality management 
• stakeholder engagement and communication
• innovation
