NewRiver REIT has strengthened the retail line-up at Midsummer Place in Milton Keynes with the signing of Danish brand Søstrene Grene and the recommitment of Hollister.

Søstrene Grene has taken a 6,329 sq ft unit on a multi-year lease, marking the lifestyle brand’s debut in Milton Keynes. The store is scheduled to open in August 2026.

Existing tenant Hollister has recommitted to the shopping centre with a new concept store at Midsummer Place, following strong trading in its previous store. Two units are being combined to create an 8,231 sq ft flagship on a 10-year lease.

Hollister is the latest Midsummer Place tenant to invest in its Milton Keynes offer with a next-generation store. Last year, Apple recommitted to the centre with its first UK next-generation store outside London, demonstrating existing tenants’ confidence in the centre.

The Søstrene Grene and Hollister deals come shortly after the announcement of two new F&B signings. Popeyes and Smoke & Pepper have both secured their first Milton Keynes restaurants at Midsummer Place.

Simon Anderson, director at NewRiver said: “We have proactively sought to diversify the retail mix at Midsummer Place, keeping and securing fashion brands including Hollister, Zara, New Look and Frasers, while introducing exciting new offers such as Søstrene Grene. These sit well alongside the new leisure and F&B we have introduced to draw shoppers in.”
